Tax abatements, 1934-1935.

This series consists of petitions to the State Comptroller General for abatement of taxes and orders of the county auditor to the county treasurer to refund abated taxes. The petitions state the reason for the request and are countersigned by the county auditor and treasurer. The State Comptroller General abates the tax and lists the new tax bill. The orders for abatement report the name of taxpayer, school district and township, amount of refund, type of tax refunded (property, personal, road or dog), and reason for refund.
